Marlene VanBeek began making jewelry over twenty years ago. She works from her studio in Whatcom County, located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Many of her pieces are hand-knotted, using a cording with open space between the beads. This look has become a signature of her work. Her necklaces, bracelets and earrings are available on her web site, at art shows and in retail shops.
“I enjoy working with glass, mostly made in Austria, Italy and the Czech Republic. Glass is such a wonderful medium, the way it reflects light, and the colors around it. I look forward to searching for new beads, and the challenge of creating pieces that will enhance their beauty.”
